Day 5 of 9

I'll start with the bad news first.  I thought it was a little strange that I had an extra bottle of the mix that I drink on cleanse days...so I re-read the sheet and in 5 days I have to do 2 more cleanse days!!!   I guess the first two shakes days I had were just to prepare for my 9 day cleanse...so today is technically day 3 of 9.  I don't know how I feel about that yet, but I think that helped me fall off track just a little today.

Now to the good news.  I woke up feeling great..even though last night laying in bed I was so hungry that this is how my conversation to myself went, "My arms are tired.  I wonder if they're getting skinnier?  Maybe they look like chicken wings.  I like chicken wings.  I want some Popeye's".  True story.  Then I woke up this morning not hungry at all.  For the past 2 days I've been thinking non-stop about getting a foot lunch sub at Subway today, but I only got a 6" and that filled me up!!  If I would have known I have to cleanse again soon, I would have ate a foot long.  When my Mom came home for work she was excited because she won two court cases at work...so we went out to eat.  And, like a true serial dieter...I can totally justify this.  I ate a Korean dish that has a ton of veggies that you mix together with rice and then add a hot pepper paste.  Pretty healthy.  So I asked for half of the rice (I normally mix the rice in and then eat another bowl).  I mixed in half of that rice in to the veggies...and then put half of the veggies in a to go box.  I know that I wasn't supposed to have anything but a shake for dinner, but hey...I'm not going to turn down a celebratory dinner with my Mom.  Plus knowing that I have to cleanse again made me bitter.

pics from our trip to the mall

I didn't want to make everyone suffer by only reading about my suffering for 9 days...so here's some pics of Ryan.  We took a bus to the mall today.  Where we spent more time on the bus than at the mall.  I normally take him on a walk and let him run around at a park, but I didn't have much energy today.  So I was lazy and let him run around at the mall.

Not too happy about waiting for the bus

or wearing a hood.

Poor boy!

Day 4 of 9

So I thought it would be fun today to walk around the food court at the mall...because I'm crazy like that.  I have to say that I did really well.  I even walked by all of the samples that they were handing out (and I love me some chicken teriyaki).  Though I do have to admit that I licked some ketchup off my fingers.  Sorry.  Even though today went well I CAN'T wait until tomorrow.  I just might wake up early to drink a shake.

**I just took my measurements and have so far lost 7 1/2 inches from all over...not too shabby**

Day 3 of 9

Today was my first "cleanse" day.  I was supposed to drink a berry flavored drink 4 times today...and eat from the approved list of snacks as needed.  So I ate 6 almonds, an apple, a celery stalk, and two of those snacks that I said tasted like chalk.  Which I've come to learn that I must like chalk...because I could have totally eaten more.

Needless to say I am hungry, tired, and moody...and I have no idea how I'm going to get thru tomorrow.  My Mom even offered to take the day off work....I told her that wasn't necessary.  I love her!

Day 2 of 9

**As you probably can see...for the next week I'm going to be talking about my cleanse.  If you have no desire to read anything about it (I really don't blame you) check back in a week...where I will be back to be posting about the best boy ever.**

Today was day 2, which meant more shakes.  My parents let me stay home from church (I think that somewhere a pig flew.   I don't think growing up we were ever allowed to stay home from church.  EVER.)  So of course I took advantage and slept in.  I got up about 10, so I didn't want to eat a shake because I knew I'd be having lunch soon.  So I ate another apple on steroids.  I couldn't find any thing to place it next to...I was going to use my head but I looked pretty scary, so I just used the computer mouse instead.  As you can see, it was gigantic.
For dinner I had a shake and 2 almonds.  And I will admit that I ate one of Ryan's fruit snacks (not a whole pack...just one).  On my defense he did spit it out...so maybe he sucked off all of the sugar.  I feel pretty good right now.  I feel hungry...but I don't know if that's really me being hungry...or me just feeling that I want something to munch on.  Tomorrow I start 2 days of cleansing...I'm really not looking forward to it and my Mom has already said that she's going to stay out of my way.  I guess I get a little moody when I'm hungry.

Day 1 of 9

Today was the first day of my cleanse and I'm proud to say that I did really well.  I took measurements of my body (which I will not be posting...because I'm not a 36-24-36, though I am 5' 3".  And props to you if you know what I'm talking about).  My day consisted of a chocolate shake for breakfast which I used warm tap water.  FAIL.  I chugged it as quick as I could.  I tried one of the companies snack wafers for my mid-morning snack.  I figure they're pretty smart because it tasted like chalk...so I only ate one.  For lunch I had some grilled chicken and steamed broccoli, and for my mid-afternoon snack I had an apple.  I don't know if it really counts as following the program if the apple was the size of a small water melon...but hey, it's an apple.  For dinner I had another shake.  This time I used cold water and some ice cubes, and while it wasn't as good as a Sonic shake, it was definitely better than this morning.  It must be working because my Mom said that I look skinnier.  And tired.  I love you Mom!

Chuck E Cheese

My Dad has been wanting to take Ryan to CEC for a while now...so this week when he had a night free we went.  Ryan is still a bit young to get the full fun out of it...but I think my Dad had enough fun for the both of them.  P.S.  Chuck E Cheese is not how I remembered it back in the day.  Maybe because this one was in the process of being remodeled...but it was kind-of sad looking.  Good thing everything was just a quarter.
Attempting to play Skeeball

obviously not very well...they only got 2000 points!

He would much rather throw the balls on the floor

Riding a horse

As you can tell by the excitement on his face...he LOVED it

driving a car

these seemed to be one of his favorite things...which is great because you don't even have to use a token for him to get to play with the steering wheel.

Playing with Grandpa

I can do this!!

A couple of weeks ago my friend started posting about how much weight/inches she's lost doing a cleanse...she posted pics the other day and she looks AMAZING!!

So naturally, I wanted to try it too.  I got the products this week and I am starting the program tomorrow (just so I didn't miss out on the samples at Costco and our weekly Korean dinner tonight).  My Mom has made it known that doctors don't suggest doing cleanses...just to eat healthy.  I know, I know.  I also know that I blog a lot about trying to eat healthy and how I'm always starting a new diet.  This time I'm really going to to do.  No seriously.  And here is why: 1. I spent my hard earned allowance to buy it (I don't know if I can really call allowance 'hard-earned' since I get it just for being married to Roo---though sometimes it's more hard earned than others) and 2.  My friend doesn't know it yet...but it's a friendly competition.  Game on.
