Gardening

Last weekend before church we took advantage of the nice weather and gardened (actually I just sat around in the sun).  Ryan thought he was such a big helper...though I'm sure my Mom would say other wise.  Either way--he had a lot of fun!

Baseball game

Last weekend the White Sox were in town so my parents took Ryan to the game.  They let me have the day to myself...which was great!  I really appreciate them braving a baseball game with Ryan!

They took a bus to the stadium...I'm sure Ryan loved that!

Watching the game

Cheering on the White Sox pitcher who threw a perfect game!!  Ryan was able to see history!

Spring Fair

Friday was military appreciation day at the Spring Fair so we thought we'd take advantage of the free entry and check it out.  Though we didn't really eat anything (what were we thinking?...fair food is awesome!) we still had a fun time checking everything out.

Ryan liked the baby goats

I don't think he cared too much about the monster trucks--maybe in a few years.

WA so far

I decided to visit my parents in WA before Ryan turns 2 so that I have one last chance to visit before having to pay for his ticket too.  Thankfully on both flights I had an empty seat next to me...which was AWESOME!  Ryan did a great job flying (though I can't say that I'm looking forward to flying again in a few weeks).

Finally landed in Seattle!

Of course we get some Korean food on the way home.  Ryan loved the noodles as you can tell by the mess on his face.

We went for a nice walk around the golf course and enjoyed some sun (which we haven't seen since).

Showing off the piece of gum he actually chewed in stead of swallowing.  Until he spit it out on the floor.

Sleepy head.

Enjoying his presents

Getting ready for our walk

He kept hiding his face from the camera with his blanket so I took it away for the picture.  He wasn't too happy.

Bus time

Last weekend my Dad was brave and took Ryan to a parade on his own.  When I told Roo where they went he asked if it was a political rally (because he knows my Dad).  It wasn't...and my Dad came home with tons of pictures of Ryan and buses.  I guess these were the buses used for the marching band.  Maybe next year he'll get some pictures of the parade!

Ry Ry loves buses!

My Dad said that he climbed up all on his own and sat down.

He looks so grown up!

Hopefully he'll be as excited when he's actually going to school

Bus heaven!

Easter Egg Hunt

We had some friends over for Easter dinner and let the kids hunt for eggs in the backyard...I think they had a fun time!

Ryan did a pretty good job at finding them on his own

Crazy hair

A few weeks ago Roo had fun styling Ryan's hair.  It's pretty long...but my Mom still thinks that we should grow it out to his shoulders.  We'll see.

Phone pics

Now that I have officially joined the rest of the world (except for my parents) by getting a smart phone I'm able to take pictures to share on the blog.  Here are some from our week.

Making a mess with yogurt.  He thinks that he's too big to sit in his high chair anymore.

Rocking out to my IPod

He was the one who wanted me to put this in his hair...and then he'd run over to the mirror.  Seriously.

Bubbles at the end of gymnastics

Not a happy camper at the start of gymnastics.  I guess that it's just because he loves me SO much and he can't bear to think that I might leave him.

Wanting to take the dog we were watching on a walk.
