Last weekend there was an airshow on base.  Roo's brother had a part in it so his family and Roo's parents came down to go with us.  It was awesome!  We had some crazy Clovis weather so he only was able to jump on one of the days but we all still had a great time.  Here are some pictures from that and from what we've been up to lately.

We took Ty on his first bike ride--he seemed to enjoy it!

The second day of the air show was cold and rainy (and since the previous day was so hot and sunny)--I neglected to pack Ryan a jacket.

Ty got Grandpas love for watermelon!

Of course the day that it was supposed to rain it didn't...and Ty got sunburned.  Parenting fail.  We have since bought him a hat.

Ryan thought the Thunderbirds were awesome!!

Just being silly waiting for Ryan to get some shots.

Utah and Santa Fe

After spending a week in Colorado we decided that we'd go visit Roo's brother in Utah.  I hadn't been back to a Utah for a while and was amazed at how much it has grown!  We definitely toyed with the idea of moving there some day.  There are so many family things to do.  Plus they have an IKEA and multiple Targets so I'm sold.  Ryan had such a fun time with his cousins and I'm really glad that we were able to spend time with them before we move to Florida.  We were also able to meet up with some old friends--which it's always fun to catch up on old times!

One of the days we were there the zoo was free to military members so of course we had to check it out.  We told Ryan that there was a train he could ride, but of course it was down for maintenance.  Thankfully we just bought him a snow cone and he was just fine.

Thankfully Ty is a pretty good traveler.  We do try to stop often though because a baby can only take so much!

Ryan got to go rock climbing with his cousins (while I got to go shopping with the baby!)

Ryan had a fun time at the park

After Utah we spent 2 nights in Santa Fe.  We won a gift certificate to a resort there a few months ago and we finally got around to using it.  If you have been following the blog for a while you'll know that we're not "museum" type people so we really only saw Walmart, the mall, and Buffalo Wild Wings...but I'm heard Santa Fe has some really nice artsy stuff.
It's crazy how mobile Ty is getting!

At least in this picture the blanket was on his head as opposed to covering his face.

Denver

The day after Roo got home we decided to take advantage of his time off from work by going on vacation.  We headed to Colorado to spend time with his parents.  We had a really good time and it was so nice to get to spend time with them (and for Roo and I to be able to go on some dates).

Ty's first time on the light rail.

Ryan was so excited to get to ride it.  We took the light rail downtown where we caught a bus--which is pretty much the perfect day for him.

My handsome boys

No trip to Colorado would be complete without a dumping of snow.  Who would have thought in the middle of May!

Thankfully Roo and Aki are fun and will play in the snow with him.  I used Ty as an excuse to stay indoors.

Ty in a hat--I think he's so cute!

He's home!

Andrew came home last week and we are so glad to have him back!  It was a long 4 1/2 months but I'm so thankful for all of the family and friends who helped me get thru it.  I'm also thankful for having such good kids!  I know that there were times I wasn't as patient as I wish I would have been. ..and definitely times when I wasn't the Mom that I would hope I'd be but we all survived and still love each other!  Here are just a couple of pictures from that day--once I get home I'll upload some more.

I took Ryan to school because it was his last day and I thought it'd be neat for Roo to surprise him.  If I had to do it again I'd tell Ryan beforehand that daddy was going to pick him up because he wasn't prepared.  He ran to me instead of Roo--thankfully I don't think it hurt his feelings too much.

Ryans party

Ryan turned 4 last week--I can't believe how fast the years have gone by!  He is such a good boy and the best big brother ever!  We had a fun party at a gymnastics place in town (mostly since Andrew was coming home the next day and I didn't feel like cleaning up).

A couple of weeks ago I went to a baby shower and she had a professional photographer there--I love the pictures that she took of the boys!
