Circus

A couple weeks ago the Ringling Brothers circus came to Amarillo.  Since it's only about an hour and a half away and Roo was flying that weekend I decided that I'd take Ryan.  He's such a good trooper in the car and I was glad that I was able to spend some a lone time with him--though I will say I did miss having Roo with me...it's definitely nice to have back up.

Of course he had to take his bowling pin with us.

After a quick stop at Old Navy and Carters to buy more T-shirts (which he won't wear) we stopped at McDonald's to get a bite to eat before the circus.

Such a silly kid.

Enjoying the pre-circus festivities

Again, trying to document that I actually get out and do these things

After the circus I took him to a bouncy castle place so he could run around some more.  He LOVED it!

A couple of weeks ago Ryan got a strike while bowling so the nice lady at the bowling alley printed out this score and highlighted the "X" showing the strike--he's so funny because he likes to carry around the piece of paper with his pin.  Though come to think of it I think I must have thrown that piece of paper away.  Oops!

Baby bump pictures

I was really motivated at the start of this pregnancy to take pictures every week--sadly that did not happen.  Though I did take two within three weeks--so that's something!  It's just hard because I obviously want to take pictures while I'm kind-of dressed up (which doesn't happen very often).  Here are the two that I have.

I love the way this picture turned out.  We were just being silly after church on Sunday and our friend took this picture right as Ryan came to stand by us--I LOVE it!  I'm sure every one thought we were strange.  Hey, who doesn't take maternity pictures on the church lawn?

Fair fun

Last week the fair was in town and thankfully Roo was still around to go with us.  There weren't many rides that Ryan could go on by himself and the workers at this fair were really strict about not letting pregnant people ride--they wouldn't even let me go on the Ferris Wheel.  Ryan had a fun time and thankfully this year it wasn't cold or rainy.

Looking at the big tractor.  That's his Osprey shirt that he LOVES!  He's gotten smart and will go look for it in the dryer in the morning if it's not in his room.

Getting buckled in by Daddy.  I'm sure Roo would have rode this with him if he would have fit--I assured him Ryan would be OK since it only goes about 2 mph.

Enjoying the Ferris wheel.

I guess the Ferris wheel is sort of a tradition!

Ryan is pretty fearless and loves rides that go fast and would make most people queasy.

This was one of Ryan's favorites this year--just because you could spin it around fast.

They even had a shark show this year which I have to say was pretty impressive.

Some more of Texas

Here are the last of the pictures that we have from Texas.

Ryan had such a great time with "Grandma".  She was great and watched him for most of the time we were in Costco so that I could look around--I love that store!

We took advantage of naps by seeing a late night showing of Despicable Me 2.  Ryan really enjoyed it--though he probably enjoyed the popcorn and candy most.

I bought a Groupon for the Children's Museum in the town where my Aunt lives.  Ryan could have stayed at the train table ALL day but Roo did a good job at trying to get him to explore new things.

Until we got a new Osprey shirt (which I'll show you all later) this was Ryan's outfit of choice.  He's funny because he'll wake me up in the mornings out of his pajamas with the outfit that he wants to wear--and he's pretty picky!

I just wanted to post this to show that I had Ryan paint my Mom a picture for her birthday.  Of course it didn't dry in time so we left it there--but it's the thought that counts!

On the way home from the beach we stopped in San Antonio and explore the Riverwalk.  We ate at the Rainforest Cafe.  It was my first time eating there.  I'm not sure what prices are normally like (I'm assuming it was more expensive just because we were on the riverwalk) but the atmosphere kept Ryan entertained--which is pretty much priceless.

After lunch we went on a boat tour of the Riverwalk.  It was HOT!!  I definitely think it would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't high 90's.

Cupcake fun

Ryan found a video on YouTube about making rainbow cupcakes so for a special treat last night we made some.  I let him decorate one today while I was folding laundry--and this is what I get for leaving him a lone with icing and frosting for a few minutes.

There is a cupcake under there somewhere.

Obviously we haven't decorated anything some Christmas--since that's all of the decorations that we have.

He found it easier to just take a bite from the top off the table instead of actually picking it up.  Such a smart boy.

We've had a busy week of bowling, playing in the back yard, and some more bowling.

Ryan enjoys playing in his pool.  I think it's funny how he always wants to wear his goggles.  As you can see we got our fence done.  Kind-of pricey but we really enjoy it.

Earlier in the week Ryan somehow hit his chin with a bowling ball--such a dangerous sport.

Wearing Daddy's hat.  He only put it on because we bribed him with a candy corn pumpkin--that kid does not like wearing hats!

Today the city of Clovis had a family fun day at the zoo and splash pad.  The entrance was free for both and a local restaurant in town even handed out free food.  I guess that's something that we'll miss when we move here.

Thankfully it wasn't to hot today.  I shouldn't have told Ryan we were going to the splash pad until after the other activities because that was all he wanted to do.

Most handsome butter fly ever.

Randoms

Now that my classes are finally over (Yay!) hopefully I'll do a better job at blogging more often.  Here are some pictures that have been on our computer for a while.

A couple weekends ago Roo went home to catch up with family and watch Aki sky-dive.  Thankfully everyone survived and had a great time!

We took advantage of the Cold Stone gift cards that my parents sent Roo for his birthday.  He was kind enough to share with us.

This is how I tend to find Ryan during nap time--with a TON of toys on his bed and him not sleeping.  It does give me a few minutes of quiet time so it's still worth it.

Showing off this dirty teeth in church.

Playing around at the bowling alley--I just think he looks really cute here.

He put his Chuck E Cheese stickers on all by himself.

A couple of weeks ago we bought Ryan goggles for the pool.  He wasn't wanted to wear them at first, as we expected, but now as you can tell he loves wearing them.

He put them on all by himself.
