Randoms

Here are just some of the things we've been up to.

I've learned that if you give Tyler the choice between 2 shirts...he'll most likely want to wear them both.  Even though it's 90 degrees out.

Ryan had a physical for school and when she asked him to get up on the thing so she could see his eyes...this was his pose.  He cracks me up!

Albuquerque part 2

In Albuquerque we went to the zoo...the kids always have a fun time riding the train and looking at all of the animals there.  It was pretty warm but they still had a great time.

We always get ice cream whenever we can--kids are a good excuse to eat treats!

Albuquerque part 1

Before I post I just want to say that I talked to my parents today and they made it to Seoul safely!  Their luggage didn't make it but they're hoping it'll be delivered to them today sometime.  My mom starts working at the Temple tomorrow so keep them in your prayers!

After our vacation in Vegas we went with Roo to Albuquerque.  He had some training to do there and after being apart for the previous 3 months we didn't want to spend more time apart if we didn't have to.  We stayed at the hotel we often do when we go up there, so we are familiar with the bus routes and the area.  The boys had fun at the pool and being around their Dad.

One perk of hotel living is the excuse to eat out.  A lot.

One of the bus routes goes right by Target.  I love looking around Target and the kids love getting Icees there so it's a win/win.

Just being silly waiting for the bus.

Ty is so goofy!

Roo is such a fun Dad!  I'm trying to be more of a fun Mom--but I have to admit I prefer sitting on the side of a pool watching.  I'm sure that's normal right?

Las Vegas

In July we were able to leave the kids with Roos parents and get away to Vegas for a week to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.  I was nervous about leaving the kids (not for their sake but for my in-laws)...but they did great and I'm so grateful that they offered to watch them for us.  We had a great time away.  We got a couple of massages, watched a lot of movies, ate a lot of good food, watched some shows, and met up with a good friend.  It was a great week!

We always stop at In-N-Out when in Vegas.  I still don't see what the big hype is about...but they are pretty tasty burgers.

We ventured out past the strip this trip and saw the Red Rocks.  It was super hot (Vegas in July!) so we didn't get out of the car too long to site see but it was beautiful.

Since it was our 10 year anniversary we splurged and went on a helicopter ride (thank you Groupon).  It was neat!  I thought it was super bumpy but Roo and our friend (both pilots) thought it was nothing.  Props to them...I think I'd be too nervous to ever be a pilot.

The Excalibur, where we normally stay.  Again we upgraded for the special occasion and stayed a few hotels down.

I know my Mom would like to see some pictures of me--and I really like this one, so here you go Mom.

Us with our friend Brad.  Even though it can be hard moving around...it's nice to make friends that you will have forever.  That is one perk of the military!

I know it doesn't look like we've been married 10 years!  We just age well...or have a good filter on my phone.

Here are some pictures from when we took the DuckTour in Seattle.  It was my Dad's first time and I think he might have been the most excited--it was neat that he waited to go with his Grandkids.

Waiting to take the Sounder  back to the car.

The kids had such a fun time!  It was a long day for Tyler but he was pretty well behaved.

Tyler and his friend Buddy.  The relationship was a little tense at first but by the end they were such good friends.  It made me realize that I want to get a dog sometime...I think every little boy should have a special friend.

Denver

Once again I am behind on posts but my Mom asked me to update the blog--and since they are training to go on their mission I figured it's the least I could do.  We had a fun time this summer with Roos family in Colorado.  The boys had a lot of fun with their cousins--it made me wish that we lived closer to them!

The kids had a fun time at the train museum.  It was pretty hot out but they still enjoyed it.

We checked out Roos old stomping grounds at the Air Force Academy.  It was my first time going in the chapel and it was so beautiful!

Tyler loves getting his picture taken.  He'll just stand by something and say "cheese" until you take his picture.  He's adorable.
