Day 4

Day 4 we started off by renting bikes to ride around Central Park.  It is a HUGE park...even more so what you're slightly out of shape and on a bicycle.  We then hopped on the Big Bus Tour to China Town to get some lunch and massages (we got used to being pampered).  We then went to the World Trade Center Memorial and to watch "Spiderman" on Broadway.  We got super cheap tickets at the USO...which made the show even better.

Beautiful Times Square

The Empire State Building

It looks even bigger from the bottom

We ate at a restaurant where you can hang up a dollar that you decorated

We're famous!

Before the show...and before they told us that you're not allowed to take any pictures.  Ever.

Me with some NYC cops.  I was too chicken to ask them for a picture, so I was creepy and stalked them.

Randoms

Here are some random pictures from Roo's phone (since I know most of you are really just wanting pictures of Ryan).
Ryan cooling off in a fountain in Denver.  We had just gotten done riding the bus up and down the street X 20.

Getting read to by Papa

While we were in Denver we bought an Ipad.  Ryan is pretty good at using it...he even picks out what videos he wants to watch.

Day 3

Day 3 started with a body scrub at a Korean spa thanks to Groupon.  I neglected to tell Roo it was at a Korean spa because he probably wouldn't have gone.  Koreans are no joke when it comes to scrubbing away layers of dead skin...it definitely isn't a relaxing process.  The Groupon also included a mani-pedi...which sadly Roo didn't allow me to take any pictures of.  After the spa we went to Koreatown to eat lunch, walked to Central Park, saw a show, and crashed the sports show (the videos that I posted earlier).

The street our apartment was on.  Roo kept saying that it looked like the street from the Cosby Show.

So pretty during the day

Me looking Asian in Koreatown.  This was the only time Roo has given me permission to use the peace sign.

We discovered where the Book of Mormon was showing.  Surprisingly they did have tickets available...but they started out at $280 per person.  I definitely would have paid that much but we already had tickets to another show.  And I don't have a job.

Central Park.  Only like 5 feet into it...it was a long walk to get there.

We bought another Groupon for a Cirque Du Soleil show.  It was pretty good...though I have no idea what the plot was.

After the show

Those poor sportscasters.  I'm sure they get sick of tourists like us.

We got a little lost so we asked somebody where Times Square was.  He looked at us and said "where all the lights are."  Thanks dude.  We're dumb.

I jumped in a joined a protest just to get the full experience.  Hopefully they weren't protesting the military or anything like that...because that would just be awkward.

Day 2

Day 2 we had settled into our "hotel" (I'll post pictures of that later on).  When we first started looking for hotels Roo said that he wanted to stay in Manhattan.  Those hotels start at $400 a night.  So...I went on a website that I'd heard about called Vacation Rental by Owner where people rent out their homes and I found a place in Harlem which was $400 for the whole time.  So we stayed in Harlem.  Overall it was a lot of fun and we survived.  On a side note...you have to have a permit to carry pepper spray in New York.  Go figure.

We just wandered around the city until we came across Radio City Music Hall

...and this guy with awesome hair whom Roo just had to take a picture of.  Hopefully he won't discover himself on here...that would be awkard.

Times Square!  Of course neither of us brought sweatshirts.  It was a good excuse to go shopping!

Me eating a kebab (and Diet Coke)

me at the dentist after a huge filling fell out...probably from drinking that Diet Coke.  I guess that I need a root canal but the dentist was able to put in a filler until I get that done.

After the trip to the dentist we went to a Yankee's Game.

They have such a beautiful field.

Roo with his lovely new sweatshirt.  Don't ask him how much it cost.

We were about 4 rows from the top

A Rod

Hey...it's as close as I'll ever get to him.

We left a little early...but they won 7-0.

Day 1

I figure that I'll divy up the posts as much as possible so that I don't bore you with too many pictures.  So after our AWESOME boat trip we explored the Intrepid.  Sadly we were a few days early of getting to see the space shuttle.  Part of the museum was closed for renovations and it was rainy out...so you only get two pictures of it.  Sorry.
Me trying my hand at being a gunner.

Some of the planes on board.

After the Intrepid we decide to explore and found Chinatown (where I did not buy a single knock-off purse. I kind-of wish I had).  We did find a place though to get massages and I got my first foot massage.  LOVE it.

Walking back to catch the ferry we saw one of President Obamas helicopters (which I had just seen in Chicago a few days before)

(these pictures are mostly for my Dad)
