Ryan

I guess it's only fair that I do a post about Ryan now.  I'm sure all parents think it...but he really is such a good boy!  He is so funny and smart and the best big brother!   He started off a routine for our family years ago where he drinks a chocolate milk every morning.   He calls it cow milk in stead of chocolate--and now we all call it that.   Right now he's into Star Wars and Peppa Pig.  He is at the age now where if you tell him we'll do something later, he'll call you out on it.  He also is so aware of what is on TV that I can't watch much around him (maybe I'm watching the wrong shows).  I am looking forward to having a fun summer with him before he starts Kindergarten--I know,  I look way too young to have a kid in school.

Ty

Some of these I already posted but they're some of my favorites with him.  He's such a good boy (though with as much as he throws things at his brother--Ryan might disagree).  Today was the first day in nursery that I was able to just drop him off and he didn't cry.  He's saying more words now.  I'm not sure if only I can understand him--but to me he says: mama, dada, eggs, milk, one more (thanks to my mom), please, eyes, nose, bubbles,  balls, bowl, and iPad (maybe I shouldn't admit that one).  He loves to do whatever his big brother is doing, and even though sometimes I complain about it he loves me to much that he still cries outside the bathroom door when I'm going to the bathroom.  I should be honored.

Here are the last of the pictures from Chicago.  Our last day my parents took Ryan on the train and then met Tyler and I at the airport.  I took Tyler to the Children's museum.  They had a mini bowling alley--so he pretty much loved it.

This is the hill Ryan would go sledding down in the winter.  He had such a great time playing around with Papa.

I actually just tried to delete this picture of me but I can't figure out how to do it on my phone...but at least you get to see how cute Ty is!

They love their Great Papa!

Ty had a blast too playing in the water.  It was a struggle to get him to wear the smock, but in the end it didn't bug him.  If only he listened to me the first few times.

Before our flight the boys were goofing around.  In anticipation of the up coming flights I pretty much let them do whatever they wanted to burn energy.

A neat display they have in the Panama City airport.

More Chicago fun

When in Chicago we went to a church in town that was having an Easter egg hunt.  It was Tylers first one and he enjoyed it.  Often times at those I feel like it's the parents that are running around crazy for the eggs...and while I did try to get him to move faster to get more candy, it was nice to see that he was happy just getting a few eggs.

Traveling fun

Last week we went to Chicago to spend Easter with my Grandpa.  My parents met us there from WA.  We had a great visit and I'm so thankful my kids are getting to know their Great Grandpa.   Thankfully this trip had much better weather than the last time we visited.  The boys had a great time and I enjoyed having built in babysitters.

Waiting for our plane.  Even though they are relatively good travelers...I don't plan to do that again for a while!

No trip anywhere with my Mom would be complete without a trip to Costco!

I took the kids to a Legoland discovery center.  During Spring break.  Not the best decision.

This was in a jungle display that Ryan found really scary.  So the good mom I am, I made him take a picture next to the creepy guy.

Zoo

We went to the zoo when we were in New Orleans and the boys had a blast!  The sun was out and it wasn't too hot which was nice.  I think their favorite part was eating snow cones and riding the carousel.

I'm always impressed that Ty will ride on an animal...Ryan just started doing that.

Excited for the train

They had a neat tree that kids could climb on

Big bus tour

In New Orleans I took the kids on the big bus tour.  I made a rookie parenting mistake of telling Ryan that we'd go to the mall to get a toy he saw the night before after the bus ride--and of course he just kept asking when it was going to be over...at least I enjoyed it!  It was a nice sunny day and it was neat to get to see more of the city.
