A few weeks ago we went to a doctors appointment because earlier in the summer we'd noticed that Ryan had some hearing loss.  The hospital was about an hour and a half away so we made the day of it.  The town had a Texas Roadhouse which was having a children's night and the boys had a great time getting up close to the firetruck.

Enjoying a bagel before school.  I have about 40 minutes to kill in between the kids' school times and going home is way backtracking-- so Ty is spoiled and gets bagels.  A lot.

Ty had a great birthday and got spoiled by Uncle Andy and Aunt Nikki!

Here are just some pictures of the boys...since I know that's what the Grandparents want to see!

I LOVE it when the boys get along.  Even though they tend to fight now,  I'm hoping that when they're older they'll be best friends!

Ty loves wearing Roo's hats--he wants to be just like Daddy!

For Ty to start school this year he needed to be potty trained...and thankfully it wasn't too painful of a process!  One day he was going poop and this is how I found him.  This kid seriously cracks us up!  He keeps us on our toes but maybe that is help keeping us young.

First days of school

Ryan started school a few weeks ago and Ty started his 3 year old class this week.  Ryan so far is enjoying school.  He is not a morning person so he always says that he doesn't want to go to school, but once he gets there he has a great time.  He just told me this week that he is tired of eating sandwiches and would like me to pack something us, which really stresses me out! I'll have to look on Pinterest for some ideas.

Roo and I always say that we can't believe how big he is--he's such a good boy!

Not the most flattering picture--but you get the idea.

Ty was super excited to start school too!  Even though he was shy when we went to his orientation he went into his classroom with no issues when I dropped him off.  He had to be potty trained so that was great motivation for me to get that done during the summer.  So far he's only gone one day but I'm sure that he's enjoying hanging out with his friends.

Summer fun

This summer flew by!  It's hard to believe that I have a 1st grader!  Here are some pictures from the summer...sorry I'm so slow!

We spent A LOT of time in the pool--sadly that meant that Ryan got quite a few ear infections so we made a couple of trips to the doctor.  It was hard for me to keep him out of the water because when they start fighting--I normally make them go swim.  Thankfully we should still have a few more weeks of swimming before the water gets too cold.

Sometimes the boys get a long.  Ryan is such a great big brother and is so patient with Tyler!

Just another picture of the boys getting along!  I guess they do get a long more often than I remember!
