Family Pictures

We are lucky that there is really talented spouse in Roo's squadron who took family pictures for those that were interested.  It was a little windy but I think they turned out awesome!  We wanted to mix it up and do some ugly Christmas sweater pictures too--and thankfully Goodwill didn't let us down.  It wasn't very easy to coax Ryan to get into his--by that point he was just over the whole thing, but overall I think that he did really well and I'm so glad that we have pictures with all 4 of us.

 My handsome boys!

This is one of my favorite pictures!  I figure any time there's one that I like how I look--that's a real winner!

It was neat that we could be by Roo's plane!

She told us to be cheesy--and that's what you get.

My asked for some more pictures of Tyler--so you can blame her for the many on this post.  Roo has been out of a town for a few days but so far I think I've been handling it well (though maybe Ryan would beg to differ).  Yesterday was kind-of a rough day because I realized that I was being really short with Ryan, and it was mostly all my fault.  I realize that doing anything with two kids takes triple the time that it would doing it by myself, so I really need to wake up earlier/get ready quicker so that I'm not frustrated with him going at the pace of a 3 year old.  I really should appreciate that he just wants to look at every bug he sees or pick up every rock we pass by.  I'm going to try hard to work on that!

Ty and then Ryan.  Ryan was a couple of weeks older in his pictures.  I don't really see the resemblance but most people say they can see it.

Ty sitting in his jumper for a few minutes.  Normally he likes it long enough for me to eat something--so that's nice.

Don't let the smiles fool you--he didn't last much longer.

This year we didn't carve the pumpkins we just harvested the seeds from them--somehow October just flew by!

For being a boy Ryan is really funny about getting his hands dirty...so he just watched us.

I just think Ty is adorable in hats.  I think Ryan is too but he unfortunately won't keep them on.

Last weekend I went out to dinner with a girlfriend--I'm proud that I was brave enough to do it with two.  Towards the end Ryan was twirling around in circles (literally) but at least he was being semi quiet.

Ty dressed in his Sunday best.

One of the girls in Roo's squadron is letting us borrow this--it's pretty good at keeping him entertained.

Ryan decided to put his blanket on Ty like a hat.

Randoms

Here are some pictures that I've been meaning to put up for a while.

This is my first attempt at using the carrier that someone in Roo's squadron gave me.  As you can tell by Ty's neck it was quite tricky to figure out!  PS--we finally finished staining our cabinets in our bathroom.  It only took us a year or so.

Here I was still trying to figure it out.

Some fangs Ryan got for Halloween.

Ryan making Ty laugh

Only the first 12 seconds or so are interesting

Lubbock

We weekend we took advantage of a 4 day weekend and went to Lubbock for a football game.  It was the furthest that he had driven with Ty and he slept the whole way which was awesome!  It's different now having kids because we got two beds and each took a kid--but overall we had a lot of fun!

Ryan had a fun time riding the rides at the mall.  It's amazing at how much fun $1 can buy.

The hotel that we were in wasn't the nicest but it did have an indoor pool and hot tub which we enjoyed.  Sadly the pool was too cold for Ty and the hot tub was too hot for him--so he only got his feet soaked.

Nothing make a trip to Lubbock complete without a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Texas Tech gave the base about 700 free tickets to the game in honor of Veterans Day.  We had a great time!  Of course we went and bought winter hats and didn't even think that it would be HOT.

It was pretty neat watching the flag parachute in.

Waiting for the game to start.

Everyone doing "guns up" for the game--see, I'm not the only one who does it in pictures.

After the game we went to Sams Club.  Even though they didn't have the chocolate milk that I was looking for, we only spent $8 for lunch and dessert for all of us so that made up for it.  Obviously Ty thinks that I'm hilarious.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Sorry that the card is going to be late (again)...but I just wanted to let you know that we're thinking about you today and wish we could be there to help you celebrate!  We hope that you have a great day and we love you so much!

Trunk or Treat

Ryan had quite a few days of Halloween festivities.  He had a Fall Fest at his school (which sadly I didn't take any pictures), the Trunk or Treat at our church, and then trick-or-treating on Halloween (I didn't manage any pictures there either--boo me).  I did get some from our church though.  Ryan had a fun time though he wouldn't keep his hood up and as soon as we went inside the church he had to take off his costume.  He was a very cute red bird while it last though.

I'm glad we managed to get another use out of the flower that Roo spent so much time on making.  He was disappointed that I ripped it, but in my defense I needed a paint stirrer to paint the kitchen and that is what what backing the petals.

Waiting for the festivities to start.

Proof that we actually do have a baby.

This picture pretty much sums up how Ryan feels about being in a costume.
