Ryan's first Mariner's game

Since the White Sox were in town playing the Mariner's, my Dad couldn't resist getting us all tickets.  The weather was beautiful and we all had a fun time.  Ryan made it til about the 3rd inning sitting in the seats...then one of us had to be walking around with him.

Grandpa and Ryan looking at the field

It's such a pretty stadium.  We sat up by the flags, which of course Ryan loved looking at.

Family picture

Not the most flattering pic of me...but a good one of Ryan.  That things I do for my blog!

Ketchup face.  He would dip his fry in ketchup and just suck it off

Some of the team.  I'm assuming the rookies are the ones in the pink backpacks

Pretty much sums up how Ryan was when we were sitting down

Here are some pics from last week:

I was doing school work on the computer...and it was a little too quiet.  Here is the mess he made.  I didn't get a picture of him playing with the toilet bowl cleaner.

After our walk we cooled off in the sprinklers

Here is some video of him walking Buddy

Walks with Ryan

I've been slacking on putting up pics of Ryan since we're with the Grandparents...but I forget that Roo and the other set of Grands probably still want to see him!

I've taken up walking again (which I haven't done since they opened the YMCA in town.  I would much rather do that than walk!).  I was kind-of worried about how Ryan would do because he would much prefer walking to riding in a stroller...but so far he's done really well and let me finish our walks.
Getting ready for our first walk...he wasn't too enthusiastic

He loves playing on my parents porch and seeing the flag

crawling around

I tried to teach him to put his hand over his heart today...I don't think he understood it.

Being such a good boy!

So I rewarded him with a smoothie from McD's

On the way home we stop by a park...where he likes to push around the stroller

Today I tried to let him walk home from Wal-Mart.  That didn't last too long because he likes to run in the street.

After our walk he helped sweep the driveway

My first NFL game

After lunch we drove downtown to watch the Seahawks play the Vikings.  As we were stuck in traffic we saw a lot of young people walking down by the pier where the cruise ships were.  There were a TON of them so we thought that maybe they were on the cruise and they just docked for the day, but I don't remember being able to afford going on a cruise when I was 15.  Then we thought maybe they worked on the cruise liner...but most of them looked pretty "alternative" and I didn't know what exactly their job would be on a cruise ship.  About 20 minutes and 2 miles later we saw that "Hemp fest" was going on...and that's where they were all going.  After sitting in Hemp fest traffic for about 45 minutes we finally made it to the stadium.  We got there pretty early so we were able to walk around and see some players before the game started.

Pete Carroll playing catch.  He was the only one on the Seahawks sideline that I knew.

Dad and I

Donovan McNabb.  Even though he was playing for the Vikings I still hoped that he would do well.  He played the first half and did more than the Seahawks did.

Me petting their mascot...I'm assuming a hawk

Got the sun, a bag of kettle corn bigger than my head...I'm good to go

Yes...we were 6 rows from the top

Our lovely view.  They actually were good seats...luckily we had a good view of the jumbo tron to watch the plays

The team on the field

Our lovely view.

Thanks a lot Oprah!

“One of the 20 Hamburgers
You Must Eat Before You Die”
~ Oprah Show & GQ Magazine

With reviews like that...we totally thought that we should check out Redmill Burgers.  Actually I had seen it on Man V Food (and it is now a personal goal to eat at every place that he visits).   So my Dad wrote down directions (because he's old school and doesn't need a GPS) and off we went.  It took us a little while to find it (next time I'm sneaking the GPS into my purse)...but we did get to see some beautiful scenery on the way.  Thankfully we got there at a good time when it wasn't too busy.  We both got burgers, my Dad got onion rings (which were voted best in WA...they were pretty good) and he also got a shake.

I wasn't that impressed by the burger.  Considering all of the publicity I thought that it would be much tastier.  To Oprah's defense though, it did say that the double bacon cheese burger was the one to die for...and I just had a plain burger.  Maybe if I ever go back I'll splurge on a weeks calories and try the other one.  Overall it was a fun daddy/daughter date followed by the Seahawk game.

Before chowing down (I don't know why I look so tired...I slept more in that day and a half that I had the previous week.  Gotta love being at Grandma and Grandpas!)

At least I can say that I've eaten somewhere show cased on the Travel Channel.

We made it!!

After being stuck on the ground in Albuquerque for an hour and half while they worked on maintenance issues we finally made it to Seattle!!  This time Ryan didn't cry when he saw my Mom...he acted a little shy at first, but now they're best friends!  I was starving so we went and ate some Korean food, and then went to Costco of course.  Later in the day we met Grandpa at the swimming pool on base...and went out for some more Korean food.

Ryan wanted to drag his "toy" around Costco

Splashing with Grandpa

Sorry that the pic. is blurry...but the boys were collecting junk that was being blown off the trees and into the pool

Walking to Grandma

After dinner we bought Ryan a Korean flag that he can hold out the window.  He already dropped it once.  Since it was the Motherland flag we turned around and got it.

Sprinkler fun

A couple of weeks ago our neighbors' daughter was in town.  She babysat Ryan so that I could go out and have some alone time...I had a great time wandering Wal-Mart and eating a quiet dinner.  They had a lot of fun together...here are some pics.
He LOVES the sprinkler...if we had grass I might invest in one.

so cute!

Aquarium

We took advantage of a 2 for 1 coupon to the Aquarium.  I think Ryan is still a little too young to enjoy it...but Roo sure did.

Ryan was fascinated with the wagon...he would have much preferred to have rolled in style.

A cool water feature.

Trying to show Ryan the turtles...he wasn't too interested.

He was pretty fascinated with the string ray

It's pretty blurry because Ryan was trying to throw himself to the floor

He would much rather run around

Watching the sharks with dad

Nothing like a Sno Cone for the adults...and a reduced sugar apple juice for Ryan.  He ate most of the sno cone.
