For the 4th of July we spent the day boating (pictures to come later) and then went to Destin that night for the fireworks show. It was a pretty neat show. ..until we were in traffic for over an hour going home. I guess that's one thing I miss about Clovis--no traffic! Ty wasn't too interested in the fireworks but he also wasn't scared of them so maybe he'll grow to love them one day like his daddy.
On the way to Florida we decided that we might as well spend the night in New Orleans. It was my Mom and Roos first time and It was pretty neat. We went down to the French Quarter and had some gumbo (actually only my Mom was adventurous enough to get gumbo....The rest of us had chicken). It was a beautiful city and very lively. Maybe not the most appropriate for small kids but for a night it was fine!
