Chicago

We had quite an adventure visiting my Grandpa in Chicago for New Years.  Things got kind-of tense with having to share a hotel room together for a few days plus the stress of figuring out how we were going to get home--but I'm glad to say we're all still talking to each other.  Here are a couple of pictures from the trip--I'll put more up soon.

Before the weather got really bad we took Ryan to go look at some Christmas lights.

My poor Mom was sick this trip--she was super considerate though and came with her own mask.

Ryan was a hit at my Grandpas retirement home.  My Dad was brave and kept him there for 3 days--they had a lot of fun together!

I just wanted to post a quick hello to say we're alive!  We had a flight yesterday to go back to Seattle but due to weather our flight was cancelled and we can't get a confirmed one until Wednesday.   Of course that doesn't sound appealing to us so we're taking an Amtrak train to Milwaukee tomorrow and will hopefully be getting a flight from there.  Fingers crossed me make it before we all end up not speaking to each other.  At least the boys have been patient and are such good travelers!
